Corestruc completed its largest stadium for the Greater Tubatse Municipality that will be able to seat as many as 5 000 people.
The pre-cast concrete structure comprises just fewer than 700 elements and is 126 m in length and 13 m in height at the back rafters.
Corestruc worked alongside the main contractor, PNG Civils, on this project.
The heavy back columns were lifted and placed using a 160 ton mobile crane.
Assembly then forged ahead with the placement of the raking beams and seating benches, which receive a grout infill, before the side panels are installed.
A structural steel bracing reinforces the already robust structure comprising concrete elements that are no less than 60 MPa, contributing towards a more robust final product.
